This year at the Festival of Friends was nothing short of magical. Our market space at The Sage and Seer was alive with laughter, conversation, music, and the quiet hum of meaningful connection. Every face that passed through carried a unique story, and together we created a living tapestry of community spirit.
To every patron who visited us — whether it was your first time wandering through the stalls or you’ve been returning for years — thank you. Your presence matters. Your choice to show up, to support, to connect, ripples far beyond the moment of exchange. We see you, and we are deeply grateful.
At this festival, we offered blessings to all who have walked this market before us, to those here now, and to those yet to come. This space is more than stalls and tents — it’s a living heartbeat of creativity, livelihood, and shared dreams.
When we gather in community, we are reminded that abundance isn’t just found in what we harvest from the earth, but also in the friendships we nurture, the kindness we exchange, and the joy we create together.
A Simple Ritual for Honouring the Bounty in Your Life
This is a small, mindful practice you can do at home to honour the blessings in your own life — past, present, and future — just as we did for our festival community.
You will need:
A small bowl of water
A slice of bread or a handful of grain
A coin
A candle (any colour, though gold or green is excellent for abundance)
Steps:
Set Your Space: Find a quiet spot, indoors or outdoors. Light your candle to welcome warmth and light into the ritual.
Offer Gratitude to the Past: Place the bread or grain in your left hand. Think of those who came before — family, ancestors, teachers, friends, and even strangers whose actions helped you be where you are today. Speak aloud:
“I thank those who walked before me. Your steps have shaped my path.”Place the bread or grain into the earth or outside for birds and wildlife.
Bless the Present: Hold the bowl of water in both hands. Think of the people and moments in your life right now that bring joy, security, and love. Say: “I honour the blessings of this moment, in my life and in my community.”Pour the water into the soil as a blessing for the present.
Invite the Future: Hold the coin and think about the dreams you hold for the future — not just for yourself, but for the wider community and the generations to come. Say: “May abundance flow forward, carrying blessings into the days ahead.”Keep the coin somewhere special, or place it in a charity box to send your wish forward into the world.
Extinguish your candle with thanks, knowing the light continues to shine in unseen ways.
Community is more than a place — it’s a living promise we make to one another. And when we gather in gratitude, we plant seeds for an even more abundant tomorrow.
From our hearts at The Sage and Seer to all of you — thank you for making this year’s Festival of Friends unforgettable. May your days be rich with friendship, laughter, and joy.
