Dancing Into the Heart of Summer: A Magical Return

Updated: Aug 8

ree

Dear friends,

It’s been a little while, and what a journey it’s been.

After a season of rest, reflection, and recovery, I’m thrilled to return to the rhythms of community, magic, and soulful connection. I appreciate your patience while I stepped back to take care of my health — this time of healing has deepened my appreciation for the quiet beauty of the present moment and the way our spirit begins to bloom again when we truly honour what we need.

Now, as the sun ripens over golden fields and summer hums with promise, I feel the stirring of return — and the joy of reconnection.

And what better time to reemerge than the peak of summer, as we begin to shift toward the next turning of the Wheel: Lughnasadh (August 1st), the first of the harvest festivals, a celebration of abundance, gratitude, and the sweetness of hard-earned growth.

Lughnasadh Magic & Summer Fulfillment

Lughnasadh is a beautiful reminder that we reap what we sow — both in the outer world and within ourselves. It’s a time to gather in what we’ve grown, to acknowledge our efforts, and to honour the balance of light and shadow that has brought us here.

Whether you’ve been tending gardens, relationships, creativity, or healing, now is the time to pause, celebrate, and give thanks.

Here are a few simple ways to bring Lughnasadh magic into your summer days:

Rituals for the Summer Harvest Season

Gratitude Jar Spell: Write down the “harvests” of your year so far — big or small. Fold each one and place it in a jar with dried herbs (like rosemary, basil, or mint), a small citrine or sunstone, and a pinch of sugar or honey to sweeten the energy. Please keep it on your altar to remind you of what you’ve already grown.

Bonfire (or Candlelight) Release: As the sun slowly begins its descent, light a candle or small fire. Reflect on what needs to be released to make space for the next season. Whisper it into the flame and let it go with gratitude.

Bake Bread or Share Seasonal Food: Lughnasadh is deeply rooted in traditions of bread and grain. Bake something simple, like cornbread or honey oat muffins, and infuse your mixing with intentions of joy, health, and connection. Share it with loved ones.

Affirmation for the Season: "I honour what I have sown, and I welcome the blessings I am ready to receive. My joy is part of the harvest."

Come See Us at Gage Park – Festival of Friends! August 1-3, and at the end of August Winona Peach Festival

We’re also thrilled to share that The Sage and Seer will be vending at the Gage Park Festival of Friends the first weekend of August! We’ll have magical wares, soulful offerings, and big summer energy to share — plus some lovely new items to support your own self-care and seasonal rituals.

Please come by to say hello, reconnect, and soak in the magic of community. We’ve missed you, and we can’t wait to see familiar faces and meet new friends.
